Lightning Fibre launches its first ever TV Advert - Full Fibre that Rocks / Be a Mate
Eastbourne-based Internet Service Provider Lightning Fibre has worked with local production company Smokescreen Visuals Limited to create their first ever television advert, which airs from 15th November to 31st January on ITVX, Channel Four, SkyTV, NOWTV and VirginTV.
“Full Fibre that Rocks!” was created by Kai Zammit and Matt Derbyshire at Smokescreen Visuals Ltd and stars Dan Dewhirst and Alex Ranahan as 'Tom' and 'David'. Dan is best known for his role in the Netflix series 'The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance' where he plays the iconic Garthim. He also has a main-cast credit as 'Joe' in the feature film 'Goodbye Mr. Vampire'. Alex Ranahan has appeared in If McCann Can Then So Can You (2020), The Day That Broke (2017) and The Lost (2022).
Lightning Fibre has adopted the hashtag #fullfibrerocks for all it's marketing activities moving forward.
Lightning Fibre's Sales and Marketing Director, Rob Reaks, commented, "Our brief was to create a memorable, high-quality, quirky advert. Smokescreen were selected from a 4-agency pitch and we were especially pleased that the winning agency is local (Eastbourne), as we strive to use local suppliers wherever possible. We have created an advert that is unique, in a marketplace where it is very hard to stand out. The advert is intended to help us build a strong brand in a highly-competitive space, and will be the first in a series of adverts, which will follow the basic theme of the first whilst evolving over the coming years."
Matt Derbyshire of Smokescreen Visuals added, "Lightning Fibre’s desire to create a TV Ad that would not only introduce their hyper fast broadband services to a wider audience but also to establish a lasting brand presence. We were delighted to work with theLightnig Fibre marketing team to produce a commercial which leaves the door open for a series of future Ads using the iconic lightning bolt."
An integrated, multi-channel geo-targeted 'Full Fibre that Rocks / Be a Mate' campaign will include Digital and Analogue radio campaigns, across More Radio, Heart FM, LBC and Classic FM, with unique sonic brand trigger (tying the radio ads in to the TV advertising campaign), as well as short-form digital campaigns across YouTube and social media channels, and extensive Google Search and Display ad campaigns.
Lightning Fibre works with Meerkat Works and AdSmart for media buying, planning and campaign management. Google Ads are managed by Search7, a purpose-driven agency, specialising in Paid Media & Data Driven SEO and conversion rate optimisation, who donate 7% of their profits to charity. Original illustrations are provided by Brighton-based illustrator and graphic designer Sandra Staufer.
