Lightning Fibre raise over £1300 for Rockinghorse Children's Charity at the Brighton i360
Eastbourne-based Full Fibre ISP Lightning Fibre have supported Rockinghorse Children's Charity since 2023, and in early 2024 the firm's Sales and Marketing Director Rob Reaks and Marketing Assistant Emmy Pollard 'abseiled' 138 metres down the iconic Brighton i360 observation tower to raise money for the Sussex-based children's charity.
Built as a vertical pier to honour the memorial of the iconic Brighton landmark, The West Pier, Brighton i360 was built on the foundations of community and sustainability with the mission to offer visitors a completely unique experience. Drop 360 is Brighton’s most exhilarating thrill. Lean back and put all your trust in the rope as you hang off the side of the i360 pod and slowly make your way down to the beachfront below, for a heart-stopping adrenaline rush.
Rockinghorse Children’s Charity was set up in 1967 by Dr Trevor Mann as the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton. the charity raises money to provide live-saving medical equipment and additional services with the aim of improving the lives of sick children throughout Sussex.
Rob Reaks presented a cheque for £1,311 to Amanda Hetherington Senior Corporate Engagement Manager on Saturday 9th February.
Money was raised through sponsorship and from guests at the Big Business Breakfast Club in January, which was sponsored by Lightning Fibre.
