Ben Ferriman, Lighting Fibre Founder and CEO, was delighted to present a donation of £500 to Hailsham Bonfire Society President Rose Piggott and Vice President Neil Cleaver, at The Hailsham Recreation Ground with Hailsham Mayor Paul Holbrook.
Local Full Fibre Broadband Network Builder and Operator prides itself on taking an active role in the communities it serves, and when invited by the Mayor to sponsor the 2022 Bonfire Night, the company were happy to oblige. They'll also supply safety barriers to the event free of charge to keep the public safe during the event, removing some operating costs for the event organisers.
The tradition of bonfire societies in East Sussex is very strong. Historically and even today, a powerful reminder of the people’s determination and individuality. Bonfire events are held every year by these societies to raise money for charities and worthy causes that further the development of the town and the surrounding area.
The Hailsham Bonfire Society is one such venerable organisation, and as such Lightning Fibre was happy to sponsor the event. Celebrations start around 7.30pm and there will be fireworks starting at around 9.30pm. These events attract large crowds of locals and visitors to the town.
This year’s Bonfire Celebrations will be held on 15th October 2022 at Hailsham Town Centre 7.30pm – 11pm. Fireworks will start around 9.30pm.
Ben Ferriman, Lighting Fibre CEO, commented, "We are delighted to sponsor the Bonfire Night, in addition to Hailsham events and good causes including Hailsham Festival, Environment Hailsham (town centre flower displays), Hailsham Artist's Network, Hailsham Active and Hailsham Cricket Club. I very much look forward to seeing the firework display on 15th October."
