Lightning Fibre wins Best Large Business Award at Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce Business Awards 2022
Eastbourne-based Altnet Lighting Fibre scooped the Best Large Business Award at the 2022 Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, sponsored by W. Brufords.
The company, founded in 2018 and Headquartered in Eastbourne, beat finalists Benners Music Store, Rathfinny Wine Estate and The View Hotel for the accolade, sponsored by Gardeners Books.
Almost 400 local business people attended the Eastbourne Business Awards at the Winter Garden on Friday September 30th for a spectacular black tie celebration.
Entertainment was provided by the amazing Singing Secret Waiters who got everyone on their feet with operatic numbers like Amore and Nessum Dorma. X-Factor finalist Lloyd Wade and his superb Soul Man Band packed the dance floor to the early hours.
Other winners on the night included Start Up of the Year, Kiddicity, the Health and Wellbeing award went to You Raise Me Up Charity and Lightning Fibre reseller, Southern IT, took home the Digital Industries Award, sponsored by Zoonou.
The Eastbourne Carnival, sponsored by Lightning Fibre, received a high commendation, collected by chairperson Mina O'Brien, and the Royal Hippodrome Theatre was recognised as the Hospitality Business of the Year.
Event sponsors included Custard Design and Print, St Wilfrid's Hospice, Upcountry and Handelsbanken. Judges included Keith Ridley, who also chaired the event, Melanie Adams (Brewers), Ashley Pugh (W. Brufords), Ian Fletcher-Price (Posturite), Christina Ewbank (CEO, Eastbourne Chamber of Commerce), Karen Day (Seahaven FM) and Tim Cobb (Cobb PR).
