The Visit Eastbourne team do an amazing job delivering Soapbox for Eastbourne; it's a very popular, fun event for all ages. We look forward to 2024!"

Soapbox participants are encouraged to build their own soapbox in order to race each other along the seafront. The race took place on Dukes Drive and finished at Helen Gardens.

Well done to the winners, Albino Squirrel Supporters (29.66 secs). 2nd place was Skyzone Racing Team (35.38 secs) and third place went to Setyres Hailsham (36.62secs). The prize for 'wackiest creation' went to Woody, Buzz & co from the Skyzone Racing Team!

The Albino Squirrels actually hit a new race record during Heat 2 of 27.37 seconds!

Eastbourne Borough Council’s Lead Member for Tourism, Leisure, Accessibility & Community Safety, Councillor Margaret Bannister said, “This really is such a fun event and we really cannot wait to see what the competitors have in store for Soapbox fans this year.
