Local Broadband Operator Lightning Fibre becomes a Key Sponsor of Hailsham Festival and Hailsham Artists Network.

Full Fibre Broadband Operator and ISP Lightning Fibre, based in Polegate, have sponsored the 2022 Hailsham Festival and Hailsham Artists Network.

Launching the partnership at the Hailsham Pavilion, Hailsham Festival Chair Tony Biggin joined Hailsham Pavilion General Manager Paul Nunney, Hailsham Artists Network Chair Josie Tipler, Secretary Valarie Evans and Lightning Fibre Founder and CEO Ben Ferriman.  Hailsham Mayor, Cllr Paul Holbrook also joined the launch event, to show his support for the partnership.

“We’re extremely grateful for Lightning Fibre’s support and sponsorship - it makes a huge difference to the Festival. Starting as a lockdown initiative, the Virtual Art Gallery is a recent addition to our programme and has proved popular with artists of all ages. It’s been great to be able to make the Virtual Gallery a permanent addition to the Festival,” said Tony Biggin, Festival Chair.

Hailsham Festival is a celebration of talent, creativity and imagination which this year will be held from September 3rd – 18th. The Virtual Art Gallery runs from August 1 to September 2, 2022 and offers artists and makers the opportunity to submit images of their work to be hosted on the Hailsham Festival website where they will be supported by a social media campaign. Lightning Fibre also sponsors the physical art exhibitions, managed by Hailsham Artists Network.

Hailsham Art Trail 2022 will see artists and makers opening their studios and exhibiting in venues in and around the Hailsham area. Venues will be open between 3rd and 18th September to coincide with the Hailsham Festival.

Hailsham Artists Network Chair, Josie Tipler commented, “The financial contribution by Lightning Fibre has enabled us to invest in our website and supports the artists and makers exhibiting their work throughout the town and beyond; we’re all very grateful for their support.”

Ben Ferriman commented, “A key feature of our symmetric Full Fibre network is the amazing upload speeds - up to 80 times faster than current average speeds. Artists uploading large files to the Virtual Art Gallery, which we are Headline Sponsoring this year, would really benefit from these hyper fast speeds. We are delighted to support the Hailsham Festival 2022 and the Hailsham Artists Network.”

Lightning Fibre is the Alternative Network for East Sussex, dedicated to delivering Full Fibre connectivity whilst making a positive impact in the local community. The network is now live in North Hailsham, with a full town roll out underway. Residents and business owners can switch online or register their interest for updates.
